Enjoy Contact Improvisation, in an inclusive setting. There is a short warm-up class and then a dance jam with live music.

WHAT IS INCLUSIVE ABOUT THE JAM?
Location is close to Spadina subway which has an elevator. Space is wheelchair accessible. Jam is co-taught and facilitated by mixed abilities teaching teams. Music is designed to be on the quiet side and not overly stimulating. Tools for nervous system self-regulation are discussed and taught. Opening and closing circle helps hold the dance experience in a frame.

WHAT IS CONTACT IMPROVISATION?
Contact Improvisation is a social dance form in which Momentum between two or more people creates and inspires dance movements. Contact dance improvisation is accessible to people with no previous dance training and to people with physical disabilities.

Facilitation shared between Kathleen Rea, Luke Anderson, Olya Glotka and Kim Simons.
